APC Written Assessment: A Complete 2026 Guide

The APC Written Assessment is the second stage of the Australian Physiotherapy Entry Pathway (APEP). It is a computer-based exam delivered online as two papers on the same day.

Each paper runs for two hours and contains 15 clinical cases with 60 multiple-choice questions — 120 questions and 4 hours in total. Questions span musculoskeletal, neurology, cardiorespiratory and professional-practice domains.

There is no cap on attempts, but you must wait 14 days between attempts and pay the fee each time. The most effective preparation combines high-yield notes, topic-wise practice and full-length timed mocks that mirror the real format.
